October 19-23, 2012 Atlanta 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer

This life-changing journey is many things to many people. For me, it's a personal challenge on many levels. The walking is really hard. The fundraising is even harder. The reason I do it is because I know that cancer is even harder than that.

I will walk 20 miles a day for 3 Days. I will pee in porta potties and I will have blisters. Each day takes me and my short legs about 8 hours.

At the end of the first 2 days I will camp with 3,000 others in a sea of pink tents which is truly a sight to behold. On the 3rd day we will all come together with our friends and families to celebrate with thousands at Turner Field for closing ceremonies.

People think I'm crazy - sometimes I do to - but when you come to the top of a huge hill and there's a bald woman holding a sign thanking you, I feel like I'd be crazy not to.
